The Burke County Emergency Management Agency responded to 83 patients’ calls during the week ending October 7. Of those, 56 were transported, including 38 to Augusta hospitals and three to other out-of-county hospitals. Twenty eight of the calls were determined to be emergencies and 28 were non-emergent.
