Robber ties clerk with shoestrings



  Clerk tied up during armed robbery   A Dollar General clerk was bound with shoestrings during an armed robbery last night. According to investigators, the Shadrack Street store was robbed around 8:40 p.m. Sunday. More information will be released as it becomes available.

Robbery suspect in custody



Robbery suspect in custody John Henry Nair Waynesboro police have apprehended John Henry Nair, the man wanted for the Aug. 22 robbery of an elderly woman in front of CVS. According to officers, he was arrested after they received a tip from a True Citizen reader who recognized him from a photo in Wednesday’s paper.

Farm fest is Saturday
