They will be singing and swinging to help save Jones Lake. At 7 p.m. Saturday, the Swingin’ Medallions will be at the Waynesboro Exchange Club Fairgrounds for a benefit concert to help restore the Waynesboro lake. Gates open at 5 p.m. and tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids under 12. The “Save the Lake” day will kick off with an 8 a.m. “Loop the Lake” 5K run/walk that begins at the Jones Lake public parking lot on South Liberty Street and courses through the Spring Valley and Lake Bluff neighborhoods. Funds raised from both events will be used to treat algae growth and other problems threatening the health of the lake.
