Pepper spray needed to end school fight

A Burke County Sheriff’s Office deputy was conducting morning duty at Burke County High School March 22 when a large fight broke out in the mall area. Seven students were fist fighting, prompting officers to stop the fight and gain compliance by spraying each student with pepper spray. All of the students were charged with disorderly conduct and released to their parents.
