Grace R. Herrington
Sylvania-(formerly of Waynesboro) Annie Grace Roberts Herrington, age 85, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Screven County Hospital in Sylvania. The Screven County native drove the bookmobile for Screven-Jenkins Regional Library and was a member of the Sylvania First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Ellis Miller Sunday School Class and of the Sara Waters United Methodist Women’s Group. She also was a Pink Lady at the Waynesboro Hospital, a member of the First Methodist Church of Waynesboro, member of the Lillian Powell Sunday School and member of Willing Workers UMW group for 30 years. She was a former member of the Sylvania Senior Citizens Center. She was preceded in death by: Husband: Perry Herrington.
Survivors: Daughters and Sons-In-Law: Rose Mead and Ronald Nunnally of Sylvania and Barbara Mead and Weyman Smoak of Appling; Sisters: Clifford R. Saxon of Midville and Jewel R. Brantley of Statesboro; Grandchildren: Robert Saxon of Sylvania, Richard Saxon and wife, Sarah of Cartersville, Russell Saxon of Denver, CO, Angie Smoak Lee and husband Jerald of Newington and Dewayne Smoak and wife Andrea of Appling; 5 Great-Grandchildren: Caitlyn Saxon of Cartersville, Edward Lee and Madison Lee of Newington and Avery Smoak and Lane Smoak of Appling; Several Nieces and Nephews.
 
Visitation: Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
 
Funeral services: Friday, April 11, 2008, at 2:00 PM, at the Thompson-Strickland-Waters Chapel with Rev. Charles Cravey officiating. Burial at Magnolia Cemetery in Waynesboro, GA at 4:00 PM.
 
Pallbearers: Robert Saxon, Richard Saxon, Russell Saxon, Dewayne Smoak, Jerald Lee and Dr. Lamar Murray. 
 
Thompson-Strickland-Waters Funeral Home in charge of all arrangements.
