Livestock SAE’s

FFA students have the opportunity to exhibit livestock as part of their SAE projects. Burke County FFA members raised and exhibited five species of livestock in over 25 shows around the state. Participants show in showmanship classes where they are judged based on their ability to work with their animals, and in weight classes where their projects are judged based on appearance, performance, and structure. Chapter members showed 16 livestock projects at the Georgia Junior National Livestock Show in Perry, GA. More importantly members learned teamwork and responsibility. Just because summer is in session, doesn’t mean our FFA members are taking a break. Here you will see Ashlyn Reddick exhibiting her beef heifer, Pearl and one of her ewes at the Futurity in Perry, GA back in July.
