FCA boys tennis team second in state





 

 

Faith Christian Academy’s boys tennis team finished their season with a second place finish in the GICAA State Championship in Jonesboro on April 25. All players from the team advanced to the semi final round. The boys doubles teams of Clay Anderson and Jackson Corbit and Ben Chamberlain and Hunter Via defeated their opponents from Killian Hills in the semi final round. Caleb Corbit, Adam Grubb and Peyton Rabun played singles in the semi final round. Rabun won his match, advancing the team to the final round. In the final match against Peachtree Academy of Conyers, both doubles teams won. The singles players held their own in the first set, but were defeated by Peachtree, yielding the match to Peachtree. The FCA Eagles are coached by Hans Anderson. The girls team of Madison Mills, Emily Pate, Audrey Roberson, Shelby Quick, Natalie Morris and Avery Wiggins also advanced to the semi finals, but were defeated, 3-2.
