Ashlyn Reddick’s family owns and operates their family farm, 5R Farms, which has been passed down for three generations, where their primary focus is breeding and raising dairy heifers. Ashlyn began raising dairy heifers in 2016 when she started showing commercial dairy heifers through the Burke County Middle School FFA Chapter. She currently has a small herd of Brown Swiss cows and a herd of Holstein cows, averaging a total of 25 calves each year. Pictured you will see Ashlyn pulling a CIDR, which is a synchronizing tool used in cattle herds for breeding purposes. You also see Ashlyn with one of her heifer calves that won Division Grand Champion at the Georgia Junior National Livestock Show. Ashlyn’s proficiency is the winner in the Area of Dairy Production for Area 4.
