The Burke County Emergency Management Agency responded to 112 patients’ calls during the week ending Nov. 20. Of those, 81 resulted in transports, including 43 to Augusta hospitals and one to another out-of-county hospital. Forty six of the transports were determined to be emergencies and 35 were non-emergent.
The agency also answered 20 fire calls during the week. They included one false alarm, nine rescues, two MVA rescues, one vehicle fire, one woods fire, five public service calls and one unspecified call.
