The Burke County Emergency Management Agency responded to 95 patients’ calls during the week ending March 6.
Of those, 72 resulted in transports, including 37 to Augusta hospitals and two to other out-of-county hospitals. Thirty six of the transports were determined to be emergencies and 36 were non-emergent.
The agency also answered 32 fire calls during the week. They included nine brush/grass fires, 11 woods fires, one authorized controlled burn, one structure fire, seven rescues, one outside/waste/ dumpster fire, one public service call and one unspecified call.
