Coaching notes By Head Baseball Coach Billy Marchman:
“We finished the season with a 15-11 record and we lost a few region games in tight contests. The ball did not bounce our way much and the injury bug bit us hard throughout the season. With a little more execution and a few lucky bounces we could have set ourselves up with a different seed in round 1. We played competitive baseball against a very good Lagrange team. The scores got away from us late but through 4 or 5 innings we were right there with them. One positive outcome this season was we were forced to play quite a few of our younger talents from our JV program after we were hit with injuries to four of our players.
The young guys gained much valuable playing experience and I am very proud of how they competed. We thank all of our players and parents for another solid year of high school baseball. To our seniors we greatly appreciate all you have done to better our program over your four years with us. We will miss this talented senior class and we wish all of them the best moving forward in their young adulthood.”
