Local Pastor Jennifer Knox of Vineyard Church of Burke County encourages donations to Convoy of Hope for those who wish to assist in Ukraine’s fight against the Russian invasion.

“I know from past experience that Convoy of Hope is doing what they say they are doing,” Knox said.

According to Ukraine’s State Emergency Service, as of March 2, more than 2,000 civilians have been killed. Additionally, more than 874,000 Ukrainian refugees are seeking shelter in Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. Many Ukrainian refugees flee to neighboring countries on foot with whatever belongings they could gather..

Convoy of Hope is on the ground in Europe, helping refugees in need of relief, according to their website. A network of partners across Europe have helped facilitate a rapid response while Convoy’s team members assist in Poland. Convoy of Hope is working to provide shelter, food, water, hygiene items and other necessities to Ukrainians in need.
