Burke County (3-AAA) took down AAAA powerhouse Ware County 19-14 in the Bear Den, and Edmund Burke (2-IAA) defeated AAA John Milledge Academy 27-14 in Milledgeville. Unemployment shoots to 13.5 percent
Burke CountyMore than 160 Burke County residents lost their jobs this summer, pushing July’s preliminary unemployment rate to 13.5 percent.
