Homeschool Day: Habitats and Adaptations

1 PM to 2:30 PM

Magnolia Springs State Park - Millen, GA

Why does a beaver have a flat tail? Do bobcats have canine teeth? Touch firs and skulls, play games, go for a nature walk and more as you learn about wildlife adaptations and their habitats in this fun packed homeschool program. $10 - $5 plus $5 parking. 478-982-1660.

Magnolia Springs State Park - Millen, GA

Learn all about native wildlife and their adaptations from our Park Naturalist. Meet Mercedes the Gopher Tortoise, touch real furs, skulls, talons and more in this interactive educational presentation that gets you up close and personal to the wonderful world of wildlife. $5 parking. 478-982-1660.

St. Patrick's Day Archery Games

2 PM to 4 PM

Magnolia Springs State Park - Millen, GA

Can you catch the leprechaun with his pot 'o gold? Or spot the four leaf clover in the patch, and hit it before anyone else? Have fun playing Irish themed-games, test your archery skills, and your lucky clover in this green and gold filled archery event. Make sure to wear green! $10 plus $5 parking. 478-982-1660.

Camp Lawton Lantern Tour

7:45 PM to 8:45 PM

Magnolia Springs State Park - Millen, GA

Come experience the historic Camp Lawton at night via lantern-light in this guided historical tour. Be transported back in time as you hike the trail and learn about the world's largest prison stockade and its inhabitants. Participants get to carry their own lanterns. You may even see a Confederate soldier and hear a musket fired. $10 - $15 plus $5 parking. 478- 982-1660.
