First Baptist Church to hold seminar featuring best- selling author


Dr. Tedd Tripp Dr. Tedd Tripp For expectant parents to those knee-deep in the day-to-day struggles and triumphs that accompany teenagers, First Baptist Church of Waynesboro is offering a special event catered to raising Christian children.

Best-selling author Dr. Tedd Tripp will present a two-day seminar entitled “Shepherding A Child’s Heart” at the church Friday-Saturday, March 23-24. Tripp, who is hailed as one of the foremost authorities on biblical parenting over the last 25 years, will touch on themes discussed in his book that shares the seminar’s name.

Beginning with registration on Friday at 6 p.m., the seminar will then proceed with two sessions: “Getting to the Heart of Behavior” and “Helping our Kids See the Glory of God.”

Saturday’s festivities will get underway with an 8 a.m. breakfast in the church’s fellowship hall, followed by various sessions including “Early Childhood: Living Joyfully Under Authority,” “Childhood: Understanding and Indentifying Attitudes of Heart” and “Teenagers: Embracing Gospel Living as Living Faith.” The seminar will conclude with an afternoon panel discussion with Dr. Tripp and his wife, Margy.
