Bears with Character

Nine Burke County High School students were named “Bears with Character” for the month of January. Students were nominated by the department chairs and were then chosen by administrators. The nominations were based on each student’s positive influence on the BCHS student body though exemplary qualities of character, service and leadership, the student’s involvement in extracurricular activities and the student’s ability to maintain a minimum of a “C” average. The chosen students are recognized with a certificate, school intercom announcement, school newsletter article and breakfast with the principal and parents.
