Georgia State

Two local students were among the more than 3,000 who graduated from Georgia State University during ceremonies held in December. Whitney Henley of Hephzibah graduated with a bachelor’s degree, and Michaela Carter of Waynesboro received a master’s degree.

Kameri Johnson

Kameri Johnson of Hephzibah was among the nearly 800 undergraduate and graduate students who completed requirements for their respective degrees during the fall 2017 semester at Valdosta State University. Johnson earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in mass media.

Rebecca Kilpatrick

Rebecca R. Kilpatrick of Hephzibah was named to the president’s list at the University of Alabama for fall 2017. Students must have a 4.0 grade point average and take a full course load for the semester to receive recognition.

Brenau University

A number of local students recently graduated from Brenau University. Those students include Jumoke Tunrayo Adebisi of Hephzibah, MBA in finance; Thomas Stewart McGuire of Hephzibah, AA in liberal studies; Haley Taylor Smith of Waynesboro, BBA in business; Natalie Simone Turner of Girard, BS in early childhood education; and Jonella Wells of Hephzibah, AA in early childhood education.
