Wresting team starts season

Burke County High School’s wrestling team began the season with two wins and a loss. They lost to Cross Creek High School 48-30 and beat the Academy of Richmond County by the same score. On Monday Dec. 4, the team traveled to Washington County where they were once again victorious, 57-24. Head coach Daniel Hance said, “We have a lot of first year wrestlers to go along with several veteran wrestlers from last year. I expect good things to come this year from our team.” The Bears travel to West Laurens on Friday, Dec. 8, for a twoday individual tournament.
