Bah humbug!

The weekend is upon us, and that means the public gets to see the first performances of the Burke Community Theatre. The group, made up local thespians, will present “Eb Scrooge: A Southern Fried Carol” on Dec. 8-9, at 7 p.m. at the Burke County Office Park auditorium. The production, which is a southernized version of Charles Dickens’ classic “A Christmas Carol,” is presented in partnership with the Waynesboro-Burke Concert Series and the Waynesboro Downtown Development Authority. Tickets may be purchased at Queensborough National Bank or online at www.itickets.com/ebscrooge.
