Burke County EMA report

The Burke County Emergency Management Agency responded to 94 patients’ calls during the week of Nov. 20-26.

Sixty-eight of the patients were transported – 40 to Augusta hospitals. Forty-two of the calls were determined to be emergencies while 26 were non-emergent.

The agency also responded to 31 fire calls during the week. They included 16 rescues, two brush/grass fires, two fire/smoke alarms, two outside trash/waste or dumpster fires, one smoke scare/odor of smoke, one vehicle fire, five public service calls, one structure fire and one unspecified call.
