MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY

Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home will be conducting a Memorial Day Ceremony 9 a.m. Monday, May 29, in the courtyard. Col. Deborah M. Ellis from Fort Gordon will be the guest speaker. In addition, Fort Gordon’s United States Army Signal Corps Band and the Post Ceremonial Detachment Color Guard will participate in the ceremony. WEDNESDAY, MAY 17

Free Diabetic Teaching will be offered in the Burke Medical Center classroom, 6-8 p.m. The course is designed to help diabetics learn how to better control their diabetes through healthy eating. Participants should eat before they come and are encouraged to bring along their partners or anyone who helps with food preparation. Please enter through Emergency Room waiting area. FRIDAY, MAY 26

A collective goods sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the front lobby of Burke Medical Center. There will be a large variety of items available for purchase, including toys, books, women’s accessories, men’s items, bamboo sheets and more.
