In the girls competition, Evans scored a total of 65, followed by the Bears with 50 points and Warren County with 11. In the boys competition, Evans led with 67, followed by the Lady Bears who had a score of 41, and Warren County scored 18.

Head coach Purvis Dukes said it was a great first meet.

“The kids competed well,” he said, considering that a few athletes from both teams are nursing injuries.
