Church Lock-in

Cornerstone Christian Center will hold a church lock-in for girls, ages 5-17, 8 p.m.-8 a.m. Friday-Saturday, Jan. 27-28. Admission is free. Participants will also participate in Cornerstone’s fifth Sunday Family and Friends Celebration 9 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. Youth Explosion

The music ministry of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church will hold Youth Explosion 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28. The event features various choirs and praise dancers, including New Birth Youth choir, New Birth Praise Soldiers, Waynesboro Deliverance Youth Choir, Givens Grove MBC Praise Dancers, Metropolitan BC Youth Choir, soloist Jovian Mcelton, the Gospel Warriors, Spiritual Angels and Seraphims. Pastoral Anniversary

Freewill Baptist Church will celebrate its 11th Pastoral Anniversary in honor of Pastor Frank Bedford and Elect First Lady, Sis Willie Bell Bedford 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28. Rev. Johnny Ray Jones and Holy Zion of Metter, will be in charge of service. The public is invited.

Ushers Union Anniversary

Ward Grove Baptist Church will host its Ushers Union Anniversary 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. Sis Mary Robertson of Fellowship Baptist Church will serve as worship leader. Dinner will be served. The public is invited.

Pastor’s Appreciation

Thankful Baptist Church, 901 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Waynesboro, will hold its second Pastor’s Appreciation for the Rev. Vincent and First Lady Tanesha Brown Sr. 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4. The Rev. James O. Strowbridge and members of Franklin Covenant Baptist Church are special guests. The public is invited.

Men and Women’s Day Service

Murphy Ebenezer Baptist Church will hold its annual Men and Women’s Day service 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5. Deacon Ronald Young of Ross Grove Baptist Church and Essie Young of Thompson Bridge Baptist Church will be the worship leaders. Church pastor, the Rev. Jessie Baitmon, will deliver the sermon. The public is invited.

Black History Program

Ward Grove Baptist Church will celebrate its annual Black History Program Feb. 5. Sunday school will begin at 10:45 a.m. followed by worship service at 11:30 a.m. Sis. Barbara Cunningham of Barrett Grove Baptist Church will serve as worship leader. The public is invited.

Pastoral Anniversary

St. Mary’s Baptist Church of Girard will celebrate the anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Taquan Murray, 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19. The Rev. Donte Kenly, pastor of St. James AME Church in Columbia, S.C., will be guest speaker. Guest choir will be the South Carolina State University United Voices of Christ. Also, the church will hold its Black History program 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19.

Black History Program

One in Christ Baptist Church, 10345 River Road, Girard, will celebrate its annual Black History Program, Sunday, Feb. 19. Sunday School will begin at 9 a.m. followed by worship service at 10 a.m. The Rev. Willie Givens, pastor, invites the public.

Pastor’s Appreciation

McElmurray Grove Baptist Church will hold its 17th Pastor’s Appreciation service for the Rev. Nathaniel Howard Jr. 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26. The Rev. Larry Mack and members of Walker Grove Church will be in charge of services. The public is invited.

Gospel Sing

Brushy Creek Baptist Church, 430 St. Clair Rd., Keysville, will host a gospel sing at 7 p.m., Saturday, March 18. Featured singer will be Dee Humphreys. No admission will be charged, but a love offering will be accepted. The public is invited.

Sunday School Union

The Sunday School Union will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29. Annette Williams, president, invite the public to attend.
