What's Next?

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 20

Free Diabetic Teaching will be offered in the Burke Medical Center classroom, 6-8 p.m. The course is designed to help diabetics learn how to better control their diabetes through healthy eating. Participants should eat before they come and are encouraged to bring along their partners or anyone who helps with food preparation. Space is limited and preregistration is encouraged. FRIDAY, APRIL 22

The Burke County Farm-To- School Program will hold their monthly Farmer’s Market from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the BCHS Greenhouse parking lot.

The Waynesboro Downtown Development Authority will again sponsor What On Earth, a celebration of Earth Day, at City Park staring at 5:30 p.m.. Wildlife Wonders will return to Waynesboro with their Animals around the World show, event times at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Any local civic organization, schools, businesses or churches interested in sponsoring activities should call 706-840-4038 or email dlively@waynesboroga.com to be involved.

Burke Medical Gift Shop will host a Bargain Blowout from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Lobby. Everything will be $5.99. Books, gifts, toys, jewelry, games, and accessories will be available.
