Waynesboro Toastmasters will meet, 5 p.m., at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 841 Jones Avenue. The meeting will feature the induction of new members. Visit the club for more information or to learn more about joining a group dedicated to self improvement and helping others grow in communication and leadership skills. Club dues waived through September

MONDAY, AUG. 10

A Dixie Highway program will be held, 6:30 p.m. at the Burke County Library. University of Georgia’s Ed Jackson, an expert on the iconic highway, will talk about the early 20th century road project and the byways that passed through Burke, Jefferson, Richmond and Screven Counties on its trek from the Canadian border to Miami. The program is sponsored by the Burke County Genealogical and Historical Society and is open to the public.
