Sam Franklin

Samuel G. Franklin, of Waynesboro has earned a Doctor of Medicine from the Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon. Franklin is serving a residency in Internal Medicine at the Greenville Hospital System/University of South Carolina in Greenville, S.C.

Charna Ellison

Charna Ellison from Waynesboro graduated from Penn Foster High School at Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy in Morganfield, Ky.

She is the daughter of Charlotte Underwood and Freddie Ellison and the granddaughter of Jacqueline and Terry McClennon, Charles and Cynthia Underwood and Peggy Ellison Ball.

Harrison Simpson

Harrison Simpson has been named as the newest member of Capital City Bank’s community board of directors in Burke County.

A retired educator, Simpson taught Social Studies and served as the head of the department at Burke County High School. He also assisted as student council and senior class advisor.

Simpson is dedicated to his community, currently serving as chairman of the Stewart Board for the Neely Grove C.M.E. Church.

He also contributes his time as treasurer for the Burke County Democratic Party, Burke County Retired Educators Association and Augusta Waynesboro Alabama A&M Alumni Association. Simpson is the voter education coordinator and poll manager for the Burke County Board of Elections and Registration as well.
