SUNDAY, JULY 27

Church Women with Attitudes will be perform, 3 p.m., at New Birth Missionary Baptist The stage play is written by T.L. Carter and is presented by the Women’s Ministry. The church is located on Shadrack Street in the former Waynesboro Elementary building.

TUESDAY, JULY 29

A Community Blood Drive will be held, 1-6 p.m., at the Wardlow Building at 7th and Academy Avenue in Waynesboro. The drive is sponsored by Shepeard Community Blood Center, and all donors will be entered for a chance to win a Husqvarna riding lawn mower from Harry’s Saw Shop. Donors are asked to bring their IDs.

SATURDAY, AUG. 2

A Walk, Run or Dye 5K will be held, 7:30 a.m. at the Jonathan Broxton Park Complex at the Burke County Recreation Department. Register at www.wbcrd.com or on race day beginning at 6:30 a.m. Cost is $15.

A 50th Class Reunion for Waynesboro High & Industrial School’s Class of 1964 is being planned. For more information, contact reunion chairperson, Dr. Eleanor Godbee Hopson at 706-799-1734.

TUESDAY, AUG. 5

The Waynesboro Lions Club will meet, 5:30 p.m., at The Lake View Restaurant. All members and those interested in joining are encouraged to attend.
