7 ARRESTED, 4 WANTED

In Drive-by Murder of Delvin Bonner

Seven people were arrested this morning (Friday) in connection to the April 14 murder of Mandrekgus “Delvin” Bonner in the driveway of his East 11th Street home. According to Waynesboro Police Chief Augustus Palmer III, officers began serving warrants around 6:45 a.m. with assistance from the Burke County Sheriff’s  Office, Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office, Georgia Bureau of Investigations and FBI Safe Streets Task Force. Officers are attempting to serve warrants on four more suspects.  Charges in the drive-by shooting range from felony murder to  making false statements.

Keleon Dequan Burdette, 25: Felony Murder; Aggravated Assault

Travis Antonio Walker, 30: Felony Murder: Aggravated Assault  

Joseph Bennett IV (Joseph Hughes), 21: Felony Murder; Aggravated Assault

Shaquille Rashad Freeman, 20: Felony Murder; Aggravated Assault

Levonta Cooper (aka Coop), 21: : Felony Murder; Aggravated Assault

Clifford Freeman (aka Duce), 25: Poss. of Firearm by convicted Felon

Amishia Mells, 22: Making False Statement
