Five for the family

A local family had a heap of firsts during bow, muzzleloader and the start of deer season. On September 22, Chris Parrish, above left, killed a doe and his first buck bow while hunting with his wife Chelsie Parrish and brother Jeremy Johns Jr. Then, he shot a 174-pound 8 pointer, above, on October 18 while hunting with his sister-in-law Victoria Pulliam on family property in Waynesboro. Chelsie, above right, took her first buck on opening morning of muzzleloader season while hunting with her husband in Alexander. Her sister, Victoria, at right, bagged her first buck two days later, also hunting with Chris in Alexander.
