Jaycees’ Christmas Parade is Saturday

By Cherrelle Philpot True Citizen Intern

The Waynesboro Jaycees’ annual Christmas Parade will make its way down Liberty Street beginning at 1 p.m. this Saturday, Dec. 11.

The parade of floats, bands and marchers will begin at Huddle House and end at Southern Bank.

“A Hometown Christmas” is this year’s theme, and entries have poured in from local churches, schools, business and organizations.

Participants are encouraged to incorporate the theme into their entries and have live or recorded music on their floats. For more information, call Travis Jenkins at 706-554-3318. The roads will be completely closed at 12:45 p.m. to begin lining up the parade participants.
