EBA Class of 1979

Edmund Burke Academy's class of 1979 will have its 30th class reunion weekend October 23-24.

Dinner at Camino Real Mexican Restaurant in Waynesboro will be 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23 with a social to follow at a local graduate's home.

Saturday, Oct. 24, there will be a low country boil at the Waynesboro Country Club at 7:30.

Car Wash

A car wash will be held 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at Waynesboro Church of God, located on Highway 56 North, to raise money for the youth.

Diabetic Teaching

A free diabetic teaching class will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, at Burke Medical Center.

Those participating are encouraged to bring a partner or any person who helps with food preparation.

Miss Spirit

The Burke County High School cheerleaders and FFA are hosting a Miss Spirit of Burke County pageant, for ages 2-23, Saturday, Oct. 3.

Applications and information sheets can be picked up from BCHS front office or downloaded at www.burke.k12.ga.us/ bchs .

WHS Class of 80

Waynesboro High School Class of 1980 will have a reunion meeting 4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 27, at the Communities In Schools building on Sixth Street in Waynesboro.

Classmates are asked to attend.

Clark reunion

More than 100 descendents of Charles Clark III will gather 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 18, at Clark's Chapel.

The church was built and dedicated by Charles Clark III as a place for his family to worship near their home.

Music will be provided by the Home Grown Band.

H1N1 Workshop

Blakeney Elementary School is hosting a H1N1 Parent Workshop 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 28 in the BES cafeteria.

Rummage Sale

Friends of the Wimberly House Ministries will sponsor a White Elephant Sale Saturday, Oct. 3, beginning at 8 a.m. behind the center on Shadrack Street.

Items for sale will include furniture, antiques, children's clothes, coats, household items, toys and much more.

All of the proceeds will be used to support Wimberly House Ministries.

Family Conference

Family Conference will be held Friday and Saturday, Sept. 25 and 26, at First United Methodist Church in Waynesboro.

The conference, hosted by Hebron Baptist Church and Burke County Home School Care Group, will address parent child relationships and spiritual unity, purpose and direction in your family.

The program is from 7-9:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 25 and 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26.
