NECBA

The Noah Ebenezer Central Baptist Association will meet with the Rev. Melvin Habersham and Jones Grove Baptist Church 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 29.

The NECBA is comprised of churches from Jefferson, Emanuel, Richmond and Burke counties.

The Rev. J.O. Strowbridge will be the moderator.

Palmer Grove

Palmer Grove Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual Women's Day program 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30.

Sabrina Lewis of Heart of Jesus will be the guest speaker.

The Rev. J.J. Smith, pastor, invites the public.

New Birth

New Birth Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the seventh pastoral anniversary for the Rev. Anthony F. Gadson 3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 30.

Eulia C. Gadson, pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Lexington, S.C., will be the guest speaker.

Also, the church will have the First Gadson Fest, an afternoon of fun, food and enjoymen, 4 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, on the church grounds.

Festivities include a rib cookoff, praise dancers, singers and comedians.

The public is invited.

Third Chapel

Third Chapel Baptist Church will celebrate its 131st anniversary, 11 a.m., Sunday, August 23. Sister Margaret Wimberly will be the worship leader. The Rev. L. E. Jones is the pastor and invites the public to attend.

Westminster

Westminster Presbyterian Church will hold a P. E. F. E. Day (preaching, eating on the grounds, fellowship and education) at the John I. Blackburn Worship Center in Keysville Sunday, Aug. 30. Praching will begin at noon and eating will begin at 1:30 p.m. Following lunch, a showing of A Bullying Situation, by renowned animator Willie Moore, will be presented. Second Springfield

Second Springfield Baptist Church will celebrating its first Family and Friends Day, 10 a.m., September 6. Sunday School begins at 10:00 a.m. and the Family and Friends program will start at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Willie Givens is pastor and invites the public to attend.

Metropolitan

Metropolitan Baptist Church will celebrate its 21st choir anniversary 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13.

The Rev. Charles Shipman invites the public.

Neely Grove

Neely Grove CME Church will have its annual revival 7:30 nightly, Tuesday-Friday, Sept. 8- 10.

The Rev. Jerry Poole of Miles Memorial CME Church of Augusta will be the guest revivalist.

The public is invited.

Daughters of Zion

The Daughters of Zion Court #211 Heroines of Jericho FAAYM will have its 50 States Rally/Hat Fashion Show 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at Noah's Ark Missionary Baptist Church.

Vanessa Nelson will be the worship leader, and the adult praise team will lead praise and worship.

The public is invited.

Sunday School Union

The Sunday School Union will meet 10 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 30, at Metropolitan Baptist Church with Bellesheba Dent, president, presiding.

Forest Hill Gospel Choir will celebrate its second anniversary 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29.

McKinnie Branch Baptist Church will have its annual Family and Friends Day program 11:30 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 30.

The Rev. Larry Boyd and the Forest Hill Church family is in charge of the service.

Pauline Jenkins will be the worship leader.

A barbeque dinner will be served.

Gospel Explosions Gospel Explosions Outreach Ministries Inc. will celebrate its 11th anniversary 7:30 nightly, Monday- Friday, Aug. 31-Sept. 4.

The climax of the event will be held 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 6, and will include a gospel singing featuring Boss Man and the Sunsets of Claxton.

Second Hopeful Baptist Church will celebrate its 142nd church anniversary 2 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 13.

The Rev. J.O. Strowbridge, pastor of Franklin Covenant Missionary Baptist Church, will deliver the message.
