EBA groundbreaking

Edmund Burke Academy will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new kindergarten/primary, 2 p.m., Sunday August 30 in the Murray Gym. The public is invited.

Veteran's office to temporarily close

The Waynesboro State Veterans Service Office located in the Burke County Office Park will be closed Friday, Sept. 4, due to a mandatory budget reduction directed by the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget. The office will re-open for service at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
