Candlelight Memorial

The family of Clara "Syrup" Sapp would like to invite all family and friends to a candlelight memorial service in her honor on 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 3, at the Waynesboro City Park.

Records to be destroyed The Burke County Board of Education will destroy all student records relating to Special Education Services for individuals who attained the age of 22 during the period July 1, 2008-June 30, 2009.

These records will be destroyed after Monday, Aug. 3, 2009. Anyone wishing to recover his/her personal records before they are destroyed may call Pam Lambert or Cathy Fowler at 706- 554-6306 to schedule an appointment for pickup.

Diabetic Teaching

A free diabetic teaching class will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 9, at Burke Medical Center.

Those participating are encouraged to bring a partner or any person who helps with food preparation.
