Ms. Laura Allison Pullen

Ms. Laura Allison Pullen, age 34, of Summerville, Ga.,passed away Monday afternoon, June 1, 2009, in a Chattanooga, Tenn., hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 3, (today) at 2 p.m. from the Horizon Baptist Fellowship with the Rev. Roger McDonald officiating. Interment will be in Summerville Cemetery.

Ms. Pullen was born in Floyd County, Ga., on March 29, 1975. She graduated from Chattooga High School in 1993 and from the Medical College of Georgia in 1997. She was a dental hygenist. Ms. Pullen was a member of The Horizon Baptist Fellowship.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, the late Joe and Sera Pullen and the late Alfred Sherman.

Survivng are her son, Andrew Landon (Drew) Pullen; parents, Van and Phyllis Pullen, all of Summerville; sister and brotherin law, Adrea and Guy Ingram III of Ellenwood, Ga.; nephew, Wil Ingram; grandmother, Dixie Sherman of Calhoun; aunts and uncles, Joe and Jan Pullen of Lyerly, Pete and Ruth Kleeman of Calhoun, Raiden and Judy Sherman of Rome; cousins, Michael Kleeman of Atlanta, Ga., and Kimberly Wood of Canton, Ga.

Active pallbearers will be Adam Burdick, Kevin Bond, Kyle Duke, Tad Allen, Michael Kleeman and Ben Fuller. Honorary pallbearers will be the Chattoga High School Class of 1993.

Visitation was Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Earle Rainwater Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the Drew Pullen Scholarship at United Community Bank.

Earle Rainwater Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
