Volunteers in Keysville are investing in their future. The Concerned Citizens of Keysville organization has formed two mentoring groups - The Young Inspirational Leaders of Keysville for the town's young women and the Better Men of Keysville for their male counterparts. According to organizers, the purpose is to help local teens learn to lead through mentoring, guest speakers and events that stress the importance of etiquette and social skills. Above, the two groups recently attended a formal dance where they waltzed, hustled and did the electric slide for their families. Last week the groups attended a workshop where they learned to write resumes and fill out job applications. Volunteers say the programs are open to all area youth, ages 12-21. More...
