While Georgia education officials are celebrating progress on advanced placement exams, Burke County students have nearly doubled the state's pass rate. Last week, the College Board, which administers the exams, released 2008 figures showing 16.3 percent of Georgia students who took AP exams scored at mastery (3 or above).
