Mr. Louie Lanier Reddick Sr.

Mr. Louie Lanier Reddick Sr., 83, of Waynesboro, Ga., entered into rest Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his home.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, (today)

at 3 p.m. in

the Chapel of DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro with the Rev. Brad Boynton officiating.

Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Gardens.

He was born Nov. 13, 1924, in Sardis, Ga., to the late William D. and Marie Dinkins Reddick.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II and a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War. Mr. Reddick was a member of The American Legion Post #180, Sardis.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Keith and Timothy Reddick; four brothers, W.A. "Tad" Reddick, James "Buddy" Reddick, Sidney Reddick and Clyde Reddick.

He is survived by his ex-wife and life-long friend, Lottie Reddick McKinney of Waynesboro; a son, Louie Reddick Jr. of Waynesboro; a daughter, Susan Reddick Cales (Gary) of Marshville, N.C.; a sister, Mary Mildred Buxton of Sardis; a granddaughter, Jennifer Freeman of Indian Trail, N.C.; two step-granddaughters, Alexandria Grissom of Hartsville, Ohio, and Kimberly Hasty of Peachland, N.C.; two great-granddaughters, Kaitlin and Allison Freeman; a stepgreat granddaughter, Lynsie Grissom; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Robert Reddick, Hubert Reddick, Henry Cleckley Reddick, Chris Reddick, Craig Reddick, Larry Buxton, Homer Frazier, Mickey Boynton and Ray Boynton.

Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the home of Lottie McKinney, 207 Pine Cone Rd., Waynesboro.
