Twenty Spartans hit the field last week as spring training for the 2008 football season got underway. Head coach Buddy Sorrow said the guys have put in great effort so far and that he's pleased with their response to the new program. As baseball season came to an end, six more players joined the team this Monday, and they'll all head to Savannah on Friday where they'll scrimmage Bethesda Day School. The game will be held at Calvary Baptist at 6 p.m. Coach Sorrow said the Spartans will begin their summer workout program on June 10.
