Mrs. Cathryn Schmitt Rodriguez

Mrs. Cathryn Schmitt Rodriguez, 50, of Sardis, Ga., beloved wife of the late Franc isco Rodriguez, entered into rest Monday, May 12, 2008 at her home.

She was born on Dec. 31, 1957 in Sylvania, Ga., to the late William Schmitt and Eva Lambert Schmitt.

She was employed by Metal Industries and was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. Mrs. Rodriguez was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and will be missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14, from 6- 8 p.m. at DeLoach Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at Sardis United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Sirmons and the Rev. Karen Zeigler officiating.

Interment services will follow at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Rodriguez will lie-instate one hour prior to service time.

Pallbearers will be William Joyner, Rufus Oglesby Jr., Bruce Peake, Chip Dixon, Gerald Grier, James Joyner and Javier Reyes.

Family members include three daughters, Stephanie Lambrix (Don) of Sardis, Crystal Milner (Chuck) of Sardis, and Luisa Maria Rodriguez of Miami, Fla.; a son, Raul Rodriguez Sr. (Marina) of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Lillian Oglesby (Rufus) of Sylvania, Ga.; nine grandchildren, Chase Oglesby, Courtney Oglesby, Caitlyn Lambrix, Austin Milner, Donnie Lambrix, Jasmine Lambrix, Raul Rodriguez Jr., Ivan Rodriguez and Jennifer Rodriguez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janice Blackburn; three sisters, Elizabeth Landing, Carolyn Joyner and Myrtle Schmitt; and two brothers, Frankie Schmitt and William Schmitt Jr.
