Head on
A Burke County man was rushed to MCGHealth following a head-on collision on Porter Carswell Road last Wednesday. According to sources at the scene, Robert Tillman, who was driving a Loren Electric service truck, veered into the path of Leroy Lane's flatbed Dodge on a sharp curve. Though it took Burke County EMA responders nearly 30 minutes to cut Tillman from the mangled wreckage, he was conscious and speaking. He has since been discharged from the hospital. Lane suffered minor injuries to his face.
