Shanna Maria Thompson and Nathan Alan Hitchcock
Miss Thompson to wed Mr. Hitchcock

Ralph and Melissa Thompson of Swainsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Shanna Maria, to Nathan Alan Hitchcock, son of Alan and Kathy Hitchcock of Midville.

The wedding is planned for 5 p.m. Friday, June 06, 2008, at Midville First Baptist Church. A reception at the church will immediately follow the ceremony.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Linda Coleman of Swainsboro and the late Jerry Coleman and Charles Thompson of Edgewater, Fla., and the late Lawarna Thompson.

She is a 2006 graduate of Swainsboro High School and currently attends East Georgia College in Swainsboro.

She is employed at Alan's Quick Stop in Midville.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Helen Ellarson and the late Johnny Ellarson of Clarksville, Tenn., and the late Harold and Virginia Hitchcock of Augusta.

He is a 2003 graduate of Edmund Burke Academy and is employed by the United States Postal Service and is also employed at Alan's Quick Stop.

Miss Holbrook to wed Mr. Broadwater

Mr. and Mrs. Warren P. Jenkins of Mount Pleasant, S.C., announce the engagement of their daughter, Margaret Alicia Holbrook, to Ryan McCormick Broadwater, son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny L. Broadwater of Rock Hill, S.C. Margaret is also the daughter of the late Dr. Thomas Walton Holbrook.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, July 26, 2008, at Second Presbyterian Church in Charleston, S.C.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Maxwell of Toccoa, Mrs. Willard Mills of Wadley and Mr. Thomas Walton Holbrook Sr. of Waynesboro, all deceased.

She earned a Bachelor of Science from the College of Charleston and holds a Master of Science from the Medical University of South Carolina.

She is currently employed as a research chemist for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in Charleston.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mr. Lonnie Taylor and the late Mrs. Taylor and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hunter Lockridge, all of Rock Hill.

He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Charleston and is the owner of BW Signs Inc.
