Fourteen members of Edmund Burke's track teams have qualified to advance to the state meet next week.
Head coach Jon Duggan said that despite a few minor setbacks, which were mostly injuries that required him to "switch up" some events, both the boys and girls teams finished in third place overall. "Everyone showed a lot of heart and determination, and I am very proud," he said.
The Region 2-AA title went to Bulloch Academy for the boys, with Trinity Christian School coming in second. Trinity's girls snagged the championship title from Bulloch.
