Larkin, Bush to marry July 19

Emanuel Larkin Jr. of Waynesboro announces the engagement of his daughter, Edith F. Larkin, to Karl T. Bush, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bush of Beech Island S.C. Edith is also the daughter of the late Sarah Carpenter Larkin.

The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, July 19, 2008, at the Gilbert Lambuth Chapel of Paine College in Augusta.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sim B. Carpenter Sr. of Waynesboro and Emanuel Larkin Sr. and the late Rosa Lee Butts Larkin of Milledgeville.

She is a 1999 graduate of Burke County High School and received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Paine College. She also obtained a Master of Business Administration from Troy University.

She is currently employed by United Parcel Service of Aiken, S.C., as a hold specialist.

The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Williams of Beech Island and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walton Bush of Aiken.

He is a 1995 graduate of Silver Bluff High School and attended South Carolina State University. He is a U.S. Army veteran and is currently employed by Southern Company at Plant Vogtle as a senior security officer.
