Ms. Gloria Daphne Cooper

Ms. Gloria Daphne Cooper, 56, of Waynesboro entered into rest Sunday, April 20, 2008, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 23, (today) at 11 a.m. at Friendship United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mike Huling officiating.

Ms. Cooper will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service.

Interment services will follow at Allen Cemetery.

She was born in Ft. Belvoir, Va., on May 12, 1951. She was employed at Richland Memorial Hospital, Columbia, S.C., as a medical technician for 20 years. She was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Hephzibah.

Survivors include her father, William J. Owens of Waynesboro; four sisters, Donna Bailey (Steve) of Vidette, Brenda Miser of Waynesboro, Sandra Stewart (Mickey) of Waynesboro, and Kathy Owens of Savannah; four nephews and three nieces; and special friends, Roxie Sidel and Cookie Toler.

Ms. Cooper was preceded in death by her late father, James D. Cooper, and her late mother, Margaret Allen Owens.

The family received friends Tuesday, April 22, from 6 until 8 p.m. at DeLoach Funeral Home in Waynesboro.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Allen, Terry Allen, Kim Clark, Tommy Rowell, Bill Lively and Urbane Lively.
