Blythe teen arrested for faking theft A Blythe teen was arrested for falsely accusing a fellow student of stealing. The 15-year-old was arrested for false report of a crime and unruly juvenile last week after his parents found the "stolen" items and called deputies. According to the original report, the boy told Burke County High School authorities he watched another student rifle through his backpack and steal a Nintendo DS and four games. School officials questioned and searched the accused student, the report said, but did not find the Nintendo or games. After advising deputies that her son's story wasn't true, the boy's mother also told them he was causing problems for Richmond County authorities. According to the report, the boy had been socializing with girls at a nearby female detention center and helping them remove their required ankle monitors. That case will be taken up by the Richmond County Sheriff's Office. |
