True Citizen, Millen News offer internships

The True Citizen and its sister publication, The Millen News, have been selected for the 2008 Georgia Press Association Foundation Education eight-week Summer Internship Program.

Both newspapers have been selected for this program for many years.

Students applying for the in- ternship should be a journalism major in college or a high school graduate with a strong desire to seek a journalism degree.

One intern will be chosen for each newspaper. Students interested in applying should send their resumes including high school, college/university, college major, credit hours completed, overall college GPA and GPA in major. Tell us where your interests are: editorial (writing, reporting), advertising (sales/ad design), photography and/or circulation (marketing and promotions).

We also want to know if you have had any previous newspaper experience including working on a school or college publication.

Applicants must also submit a brief essay on what he or she hopes to gain from the summer internship program.
