Making a splash for cash
Waynesboro Wal-Mart manager Steve Moss recently took a dip in cold water to earn cold, hard cash for children. As part of the store's effort to raise money for the Children's Miracle Network, he sat prey in a dunking booth for several hours in the parking lot. Several members of the Burke County Middle School baseball team took their shots and succeeded at thoroughly soaking Moss, whose son plays for the team. The store raised $520 in their fund drive, which will benefit MCG Health's Children's Medical Center in Augusta.
