Diners to putt for New Beginnings

First National Bank and Good Day Café are teaming up to support the Center for New Beginnings.

This Thursday, they'll host a putting tournament outside the downtown restaurant - with all the green going to the non-profit center, which provides therapy for autistic and other special needs children.

Three separate tournaments will be held at 6, 7 and 8 p.m.

For $10, contestants receive three shots at becoming Burke County's putt-putt champ.

As part of Good Day's annual Masters Outing, they'll also have al fresco dining, golf trivia games and shrimp and crawfish by the pound.
