Volleyball was not her only high school sport, however. A four-year basketball letterman, she also captained the Westminster Lady Wildcats basketball team the last two years. For the last three years, she has led the team in points and rebounds. Her four years of high school basketball included one trip to the GHSA Final Four and two trips to the Sweet Sixteen state tournaments. She was named North Fulton Prep Club Academic Athlete of the Year for Girls Basketball for 2005-2006 and Athlete of the Week by the Northside Neighbor newspaper in January 2008. Sandra Lynne has maintained a high school average of 97.2 (4.7 GPA), while taking seven AP classes and is a member of the Cum Laude Society, National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society. As a senior, Sandra Lynne also serves on Westminster's Honor Council, and, as a junior and sophomore, served as communications officer and class representative on the student council. In recognition of her leadership on and off the court, she received in 2007 the highest leadership award given by Westminster - the Turman Leadership Award. At Harvard, she hopes to study political science and government with a view toward law school, continuing a family legal tradition started by her grandfather, Judge Fryhofer. |
